M&L IFPA Forestry Plan Submitted to the Ministry of Forests

The public review process for the M&L IFPA Forestry Plan was completed December 4 th, 2006 and the finalized plan was submitted to the Ministry of Forests on January 17, 2007.

The purpose of this plan is to provide the basis for a request for an Allowable Annual Cut (AAC) increase in the Morice TSA under Section 59.1 of the Forest Act. The Forestry Plan provides a detailed description of the innovative practices and activities that the ML-IFPA partners have committed to within the TSA. It also provides a strategy to mitigate the loss of timber values in the TSA due to the mountain pine beetle epidemic.

The review period for the plan was from October 4, 2006 to December 4, 2006. The submitted plan includes information on public review efforts of the IFPA holders and public responses.
