Local Resource Managers Attend KT Session

About 30 resource managers from throughout the region attended the 6th annual M&L IFPA Knowledge Transfer Session held in Houston on June 6 th, 2008. "The presentations were very high quality," said event organizer Ritchie Morrison of Tetrad Communications. "And although we had a slightly smaller crowd than usual, the energy level was up to the usual standard, with many questions and comments directed at the presenters.”

Participants this year included representatives from licensees, provincial government ministries, First Nations, the IFPA's public advisory group and the local consulting community. Project consultants presented on their completed 07/08 project work in the core program areas of SFM planning, forest productivity and ecosystem-based management.

Knowledge transfer sessions are held in order to extend information learned from IFPA project work to the wider natural resource community in the region.
