Knowledge Transfer Session Being Held June 20th, 2002 in Granisle
The Morice & Lakes Innovative Forest Practices Agreement will be holding a knowledge transfer session in Granisle on Thursday, June 20th, 2002. The single-day session will run from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at the Granisle Lakeside Lodge. The theme is "New Ideas in Forest Management."
Sharing technical results on innovative forest management projects is a key goal of the Morice & Lakes IFPA. Project consultants and program managers will be making short presentations on the purpose, methods and results of each project, outlining how forest resource managers can use these results. Hot-off-the-press copies of project summaries will also be available at the event.
The session program will be presented in three modules, reflecting the three major project areas of the IFPA: 1) community involvement and adaptive management, 2) forest productivity, and 3) ecosystem management. Please see the draft agenda in pdf format for a listing of topics and presenters:
